Notice To Fill Board Member Vacancy

The Clifton Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy for a term ending December 31, 2026. Interested residents are invited to submit a resume and a one-page letter of interest outlining their qualifications and reasons for seeking a Board of Education seat. Please address all materials to Board President Judith Bassford. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:12-15(a), the Board has 65 days to fill the vacancy. If it does not meet that deadline, the county superintendent will fill the vacancy.

All submissions must be sent to Ahmed Shehata, Board Secretary, no later than February 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

    The time for the Regular Meeting of the Clifton Board of Education being held on Thursday,
    February 5, 2026 has been changed to 6:00 p.m. The meeting will begin with an Executive
    Session.

    The date for the Special Public Meeting of the Clifton Board of Education scheduled for Thursday,
    February 19, 2026 has been changed to Thursday, February 26, 2026. The Board meeting will
    begin at 7:00 p.m., 333 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013.

    ACTION MAY BE TAKEN

    The Board reserves the right to go into Executive Session
