Welcome to School # 9!

The Kindergarten and First Grade students had a visit from children’s book author, Geena Bean.  She presented and read her book, Come Back Dear Sun.  The book is told in a rhyme and through beautiful pictures in which her sister illustrated.  When the sun disappears for a long time, curious Kaylee cannot wait to have the sunshine back.  She and her sister Mattie, along with their two friends, plan an adventurous sleepover in attempt to find out why the sun has disappeared.  The insightful message of this story helps children to develop an appreciation of the world around us.
