Welcome to School #1!

School One, located in the Middle Village section of Clifton (just beyond Christopher Columbus Middle School, the former CHS, and Clifton Schools Stadium), opened its doors in 1930. Celebrating its 80th anniversary, School One has 312 students in grades K - 5. We are proud to have served several generations of families in our school community.

Math is Fun!School One hosted 3 Family Math Night Workshops in March for 3rd grade students. Students were invited to attend with a parent so they could explore different types of hands-on Math activities with manipulatives. A fun time was had by all!

Mr. Thurston's Fifth Grade Class recently visited the CP Center in Clifton to participate in Read Across America with the CP Center's students.  Mr. Thurston's class had a wonderful time reading and interacting with the students.

Prismatic Magic presented an anti-bullying assembly to the students of School Four and School One on Wednesday morning January 23rd.  They used laser lights to teach the students to treat each other with respect.  Awesome show!

School One had their Winter Concert on December 12, 2012.  Band, Chorus and Strings performed.  The entire school had a sing-a-long with each song led by a different grade level.  Happy Holidays!

School One recently said goodbye to one of their own. Mrs. Joan Rembis retired after 25 years teaching, most of those years at School One! The students and staff, at an afternoon assembly, presented Mrs. Rembis with class made cards and read poems wishing her well in her new endeavor! We’ll miss you Mrs. Rembis!
